Mary Tsouvalakis - Director - EXEDRA Entertainment

Mary Tsouvalakis has been the director of Exedra Entertainment since 1995.

Her aim has always been to bridge Australia's relative isolation from Hellas, particularly in the arts by bringing world renown entertainers such as Mikis Theodorakis, Kostas Hatzis, Maria Farantouri and Savina Yannatou to Australia to perform in concert halls. Events are personally selected by Mary, not only to display the pinnacle of human imagination and creativity but also to promote cultural diversity, freedom, compassion and friendship.

Mary invited the 205 piece Greek National Opera to perform Zorba the Ballet in 2002 in five concerts around Australia. The tour was the only Australian event to be sponsored by the Cultural Olympiad 2004. Moving a plane full of 205 entertainers and 15 members of the press and television from Athens, including singers, ballet dancers and musicians proved fascinating.

Mary is fascinated by human nature, artists and their idiosyncrasies. She says that the very famous have the same insecurities, fears, romance issues as the next person. Mary is passionate about travel; travel highlights include cruising the Nile in Egypt, London, Paris, Florence, Vienna, Athens, the Greek islands; particularly Crete, Kefalonia, Santorini, Milos, Alonissos.

She collects antiques, art and books.
